India is launching 30 space missions in the last quarter of 2023-2024 and the 2024-2025 fiscal year, as unveiled in a manifesto by the Indian space regulator IN-SPACe. This initiative includes 7 launches from space startups Skyroot Aerospace and Agnikul Cosmos.
Among 30 launches over the next 14 months, some are experimental launches of the Gaganyaan mission including 2 unmanned flights of the Gaganyaan mission before the manned mission and some launches from the newly developed rocket SSLV (Small Satellite Launch Vehicle). Around 14 space missions are commercial and in this mission around 7 missions will be launched by NSIL.
Launching 30 Space Missions By Indian Space Agencies
In 2023, ISRO achieved two milestones by accomplishing Chandrayaan 3 and Aditya L1 missions. Now in 2024 and 2025 space agencies from India are ready to move ahead to demonstrate some future space technologies and some commercial launches for financial sustainability of the Indian space ecosystem.
India Launching 30 space missions in 2024 and 2025. The completion of these 30 space missions is expected within approximately 15 months. The Indian fiscal year begins on April 1st and concludes on March 31st. Therefore, the first quarter (Q1) of a fiscal year starts on April 1st and ends on June 30th, while the fourth quarter (Q4) starts on January 1st and concludes on March 31st.
