Indian Space economy hits $8 billion (66,400 crore in INR) in 2025 according to a press release by ministry of Science and Technology. Dr. Jitender Singh minister of state for ministry of Science and Technology give credit for this PM Narendra Modi and he says India’s space economy set to reach $44 billion (3.65 lakh crore in INR) in next decade. Previous year Indian government allowed 100% FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) with some restrictions in space sector.

After the liberalization in space sector many Indian space start-up emerging in this sector now after relaxation in FDI policy space sector get a rapid pace. Some of space start-up like Pixxel funded by Alphabet.
ISRO also supporting these startups by providing its research facilities, transfer of technology and give priority to launch payload of these companies. The success of ISRO’s SPADEX mission is set to boost India’s space economy.
ISRO set to launch one of most expensive and technologically advanced satellite “NISAR” jointly built by NASA and ISRO. Some of the most important missions of ISRO lined up like human space exploration Gaganyaan mission in 2026, Chandrayaan-4 mission in 2027, Lupex Mission in 2028, Shukrayaan mission in 2028, launching of Indian Space Station in 2030, Mangalyaan 2.
Some of Indian startup like Skyroot Aerospace and Agnikul Aerospace has developed there launching rocket and many other companies outsourcing ISRO . Indian Space economy grooving with rapid pace.
